Nyrie Sarkissian

Nyrie Sarkissian began filing tax returns in 2008 as a small operation, mainly helping friends and family. Very quickly she was being referred new clients and by 2012 she was preparing 50+ returns every year. Since she initially specialized in taxes for the self-employed, she became known as the “Tax Guru” amongst artists, performers, musicians, designers and other self-employed sole proprietors. It was clear to her that most of them did not realize the tax deductions they were afforded and the tax credits that were available to them.

With the vision of being a boutique tax preparation company that focused on discovering strategies to help her clients reduce their tax liability and  understand their taxes, Nyrie created Tax Prep A-Go-Go.

Since the start of TPAGG in 2017 Nyrie has continued to increase her client roster while always remaining available to each one of her clients. Her services now include business entity formation, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and tax planning as well as investment strategies to ensure her clients are putting money aside for their futures.

A graduate from California State University of Northridge, one of the top twenty undergraduate business schools in the nation, Nyrie received her B.A. in Business Administration with a double minor in both Economics and Finance. She holds professional licenses to file federal tax returns and state returns for almost all 50 states and territories in the US. She is CTEC certified, licensed and bonded.

Nyrie is also the first TaxAct Professional Champion, a brand ambassador for TaxAct Professional Software. She speaks at various engagements, hosts education seminars, and writes blogs for the company.

Nyrie is a member of NATP - National Association of Tax Preparers, and a member of NSTP – the Society of Tax Professionals. She is also a member of LACMA, the American Film Institute and the California Small Businesswomen’s Association. She is active in her community, supporting non-profit art education organizations such as The Valley Institute of Visual Arts and CSUN Arts Council. She also supports many philanthropic charities including The San Fernando Valley Mission, The ACLU, National Public Radio and Wounded Warrior Project.
